Mark took a rather circuitous route to the world of theatre: After earning his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, he served 4 years as an Army Officer in Fort Bragg, NC, and in Saudi Arabia/Iraq (in the first Gulf War) as well as several years in the Army Reserve. He began acting about 4 years ago, and when the Naval Engineering office that he worked for closed in 2006, he made the career switch. He has worked with many local companies, including The Wilma, BCKSEET, Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival, Delaware Shakespeare Festival, Commonwealth Classic Theatre, and very recently, Simpatico’s highly acclaimed Angels Fall. As a member of Simpatico Theatre Project, Mark is responsible for raising funds for operations through individual and group donations, as well as advertising.
