Raised in Altoona, PA, Carol Laratonda is a graduate of Bloomsburg University. Favorite shows directed include This Is Our Youth, Boy Gets Girl, Sight Unseen, Stop Kiss, Angels Fall, Speech Acts (Theatre Catalyst), and WAIT! with Philadelphia’s Eternal Spiral Project. She has also assistant directed with Luna Theater Company (The Turn of the Screw), InterAct Theatre Company (Reinventing Eden), Portland Stage Company (A Christmas Carol and Dinner with Friends), Curio Theatre Company (Alice in Wonderland), Theatre Exile (Red Light Winter) and Wilma Theatre Company (The Pillowman) among others. Selected stage management credits include Tales from the Arabian Nights, The Santaland Diaries (Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble), Mission to Mercury, Love Unpunished (Pig Iron Theatre Company), and When Boys Cry (Theatre Fabulous). Upcoming projects include co-directing a piece entitled 13 Lemonade Avenue for the 2007 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
